POLIÇA TIFF DOC MCKINNEY REMIX

POLIÇA was one of my favorite bands of 2012, hands down. Tiff features Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and gets a brilliant remix from Doc McKinney. McKinney sticks withPOLIÇA's usual style, staying raw and pulsing, while adding some nice trip hop elements to drive the song through. Great preview for what is coming up next!

Their new album Shulamith is out October 22nd.

Up next is Ryan Hemsworth's newest track, an epic homage to video game producer Yasunori Mitsuda. This is one of those tracks that is great to listen to over a variety of situations. Kind of dancy in true Hemsworth fashion, but also relaxed enough to just sit back and listen to it. Record label Lefse will be releasing it as a 4 song compilation honoring the producer on April 2.

GINGER & THE GHOST ONE TYPE OF DARK TA-KU REMIX

This one is a real creeper. I couldn't get past the first 30 seconds of it for about a week because of what sounds like baby gurgles...but should that deter you? No! It will slowly wind it's way into your brain until you finally listen to the whole thing and begin to look past it's crazy pitch shifting, and into the awesome track that runs through it. Starting light and ending heavy amidst some crazy bass and trip-hop beats, Ta-ku takes this track through a pretty rad ride.
