I got a little link happy with this one. I stumbled upon Flic Flac as a result of their remix of Bon Iver's Blood Bank re-making the rounds on hypem, and then found that, "oh", everything they touch is amazing. The Vance Joy remix isn't listed in this post because I think that four just might make me crazy but check it out anyway (Soundcloud link below). If you're looking for a new artist to dive into be sure to check out this Austrian duo's tracks. They stick mostly to indie remixes, and they are delicious! As a general rule, you can't go wrong with a Nina Simone sample. This 1998 gem blends Nina's smooth vocals with an uptempo beat that brings you a blend of deep house/UK garage. Add to that a bit of jazz flute and you've got yourself a bonafide classic. Produced by electro pioneers Kerri Chandler and Jeremy Sydenham, this track has been remixed/re-edited by the likes of Todd Edwards and Kerri himself. Check it out and get yourself a download below.

BRYNJOLFUR I LOVE YOU PHARAO BLACK MAGIC REMIX

This is Brynjolfur's debut for Eskimo Recordings out on 15 July. Swiss duo Black Magic Pharao take this chill sleepy track and turn it into a deep house dance adventure. They retain the core of the original and intensify it by adding layers of marimbas, a deep bass, and some obscure vocals. That probably sounds like a bag of crazy, but I assure you that the result is awesome. A perfect addition to any summer mix!

Let's juts skip the part where you have any doubts about this track and just dive in. Featuring remixes of Brian Eno's Lux and grizzly Bear's Sleeping Ute, Nicolas Jaar takes the cake with this year's Record Store Day release. Jaar starts out with the vocals from Grizzly Bear's Sleeping Ute and slowly fades out of them into a haunting deep house driven track. Elegant and pretty light for his style. Don't pass by this one, it's a keeper.

Hello Synapson! This track is a slight departure from what I usually post. Paris duo Snyapson have a nack for taking obscure world music tracks and whipping them up into amazing deep house/chill lounge versions of their original selves. I love the mix of chillout beats set to some well done loops of the origianl track by Victor Démé, but the second track, the Bonga remix steals the show.
