This is Brynjolfur's debut for Eskimo Recordings out on 15 July. Swiss duo Black Magic Pharao take this chill sleepy track and turn it into a deep house dance adventure. They retain the core of the original and intensify it by adding layers of marimbas, a deep bass, and some obscure vocals. That probably sounds like a bag of crazy, but I assure you that the result is awesome. A perfect addition to any summer mix!

Ready for another summer jam? Not normally a fan of Phoenix, this remix takes them to a whole new level. Van Cleef speeds it up considerably and adding some great poppy synth touches and a great beat  to back up the vocals. He really transforms this into something great.

Pierce Fulton adds his progressive touch to Atlas Genius' indie jam Symptoms. It's a brilliant pump up tune mixing in a nice balance of upbeat progressive chords, guitar, and piano, all showcasing their minor capabilities for this happy summer track. It's a succinct remix that plays towards mainstream, but damn is it fun! Be sure to bring this one to the pool.

 STREAM Atlas Genius - Symptoms (Pierce Fulton Remix) 

DIGITALISTM SO TOTALLY GOOD

Digitalism is at it again with a new mix created especially for !K7's DJ-Kicks series. German duo Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi have put forth a grab bag of sounds showcasing their history. Ranging from new-wave, house and disco, to glamour pop and punk, So Totally Cool, one of the exclusive tracks off of the mix is just that: so. totally. good.

The intro takes off slowly, building steadily, and then all piles in. The bass is tickles your memory a bit sounding a tad like Daft Punk, and then the track just takes off. Throw in some piano, Casio kick snares, and synth vocals and Voila.

Largely comprised of remixes, this mix does have about 8 exclusives on it. US release date is July 10 ok !K7 Records. Check it out!

BONDAX GIVING IT ALL

Bondax, comprised of George Townsend and Adam Kaye, are out with a killer new dance track Giving It All. Not leaving their well known downtempo style fully behind, they inject this track with a chilled out smoothness that could easily place it into dance floor or after party. It's poppy without being overbearing and tiptoes without fully committing to the genre. The restraint found between the bass and the vocals as the track progresses make it a shoe-in for the replay button.

Currently unreleased, we'll have to wait and see whose vocals are behind this great new track.

Brought to you by the Future Classic family yet again, Permission To Love by Sydney based producer Brett Hayden kind of blew me away this morning. The backbeats remind me a lot of older slow Daft Punk. The track swoops around a bit with the base, but with a finesse that is becoming less and less common with new artists today. It's like a funky summer paradise that will swallow you whole. Just go with it!

I don't quite have the resources right now to do all the research on him, but if his soundcloud page is any indication he's pretty new with only 120 followers. Do yourself a favor and check this guy out!

In what might be the best summer collaboration ever, Viceroy and the French Horn Rebellion (they did the killer Girls remix) pair up to release Friday Nights. There are hand claps everywhere too. It's an easy tune, heavy on the 80s synth bass that wants to just montage your life away. Just imagine your favorite summer movie from the 80s, this is that music. Self professed neon noir band Joywave debuts their third album 88888, and from that comes our latest "Let's get weird' track, Tounges. This track reminds me a lot of Hot Chips earlier work, and I totally dig the throw back. It's jerky and off the wall in a really fun way. The vocals pop in and out and have these cool droops to the sound that just sort of dissolve out of the main melody. Give it a go - consider it a Coachella palette cleanser.

Session Victim is brought to you by DJs Hauke Freer + Matthias Reiling out of Berlin. Their remix of Biao's Sunburn Modern is released from their third and most recent host/label, Grecco Roman.  This track has one of my favorite sounds ever in music: a bass that hums along almost as if a car with too- loud music were driving by. But it's subtle, and you barely hear it, and that is why it drives me crazy in such a good way. It's that wanting and these guys have perfected it to an intoxicating degree.

JACQUES GREENE + TINASHE PAINTED FACES

Canadian producer Jaques Greene has been on our radar for a bit now, and my oh my does he deliver with this new track! The bass has that slightly tropical vibe to it and a nice spotty melody over it that has some hints of trip hop added in. I was blinded/obsessed at first with just the bass line, it's so subtle and light, but the rest soon followed. Tinashe's vocals are a perfect addition; she sounds familiar without quite being able to place it and will leave you wanting more. Awesome collaboration!

Who is ready for a guilty pleasure indie-folk-pop summer single from melbourne based artist Vance Joy. It's his second off of the debut album 'God Loves You While Your Dancing'. Basically this song can be likened to kitten youtube videos. His vocals and music remind me a lot of Matt Costa in how light and up beat they are. Pretty adorable. Out now on Liberation Music.
