MAROON 5 LOVE SOMEBODY PENGUIN PRISON REMIX

Go ahead and front all you want about not liking or listening to pop music. There is a reason this shit is infectious and the page views don't lie. Chris Glover aka Penguin Prison doubles up that sentiment with his just-out remix of Maroon Five's Love Somebody. Glover adds his signature poppy synths and well rehearsed breaks to make an entirely new song, using cuts of Levine's vocals to make up part of the melody for the track. It's catchy as hell and if your body doesn't start moving you just might be dead inside. So you should probably check on that.

LET'S GET WEIRD :: JOYWAVE TONGUES FT. KOPPS

Self professed neon noir band Joywave debuts their third album 88888, and from that comes our latest "Let's get weird' track, Tounges. This track reminds me a lot of Hot Chips earlier work, and I totally dig the throw back. It's jerky and off the wall in a really fun way. The vocals pop in and out and have these cool droops to the sound that just sort of dissolve out of the main melody. Give it a go - consider it a Coachella palette cleanser.

THE KNOCKS MODERN HEARTS FT. ST. LUCIA

NYC electro-boys the Knocks release this sweet summer single with St. Lucia's Jean-Phillip Grobler on the vocals. It's disco infused indie rock and I love it. Throwback-esque and it still holds it's own. The track officially released a few days ago and is available on all the usual sources.

JACQUES GREENE + TINASHE PAINTED FACES

Canadian producer Jaques Greene has been on our radar for a bit now, and my oh my does he deliver with this new track! The bass has that slightly tropical vibe to it and a nice spotty melody over it that has some hints of trip hop added in. I was blinded/obsessed at first with just the bass line, it's so subtle and light, but the rest soon followed. Tinashe's vocals are a perfect addition; she sounds familiar without quite being able to place it and will leave you wanting more. Awesome collaboration!

TRÉSORS PLEINE LUNE ANORAAK REMIX

Frédéric Rivière, aka Anoraak brings us this nice remix of Trésors "Pleine Lune." It's like new wave electro-pop for 2013. A kickin bass synth line that builds and builds and sounds like a car driving scene out of a movie totally makes this remix for me. Grab the free download below!

SWISS LIPS U GOT THE POWER MONSIEUR ADI REMIX

Let's freaking get down! Monsieur Adi has some definite French Touch influences (esp. Daft Punk), and he uses them well and with restraint. MA is one of the most active djs that I currently follow too, he's all over The Hype Machine popular charts and blows up FB all the time. It looks like his hard work is paying off though which is awesome. He's refined and established his sound and delivers it impeccably. He is a pleasure to my ears.

FENECH-SOLER MAIYU

3AM pool hopping. 

Here is the latest one from Fenech-Soler, the hiptastic UK quartet - that'll be out on their upcoming album. Maiyu is a perfect glittery spring-time jam à la MGMT or Two Door Cinema Club. It's well done electro-pop with a sweet base line and some delicious synth melodies. Eat it up.

CHVRCHES RECOVER

The Glasgow trio Chvrches' new album comes out on March 25th and if their title track "Recover" is any indication, it's going to be amazing. As if we weren't convinced enough after their track "Mother We Share" came out last year. The vocals and poppy synth make for a fresh track and hypnotic chorus that is sure to stick in your head.

LES SINS GRIND

Girl I gotta grind. 

Chaz Bundwick aka Toro y Moi aka Les Sins (Bay Area represent!) continues to take over the world via dance jamz. His latest song "Grind" is prepped up and ready for summer and wants to get on down.  His new album is out March 18th digital and 12'' on Caribou's growing JIAOLONG label. FRENCH HORN REBELLION GIRLS FM ATTACK REMIX

FM Attack's remix of Girls is basically the coolest. Italo disco vocals and a thirsty bass track have robot babies all over this track. This is going to quickly become one of my warm weather faves. Just get weird with it.

PURITY RING GRAMMY

Purity Ring covers Soulja boy and announces spring tour dates around their Coachella appearances. Apparently they first introduced fans to this cover live and it was met with such a positive response that they recorded it in the studio.
