Jacques Greene's latest single Faithful is a deep grooving house piece that evokes the feeling of being in an ultra lounge set in space. Oliver Daysoul provides the vocals that arch nicely over the prevailing futuristic beat and melody, providing a nice soulful element to this nu-lounge track. Watch out for the wide, offbeat bass that wants to take over your soul about three quarters of the way through. So good.

JOEL COMPASS FUCKED UP COMPUPHONIC REMIX

                               

Maxime Firke aka Compuphonic has released a super deep remix of Joel Compass' downtempo R&B single Fucked Up. It hits its stride about a minute in when Compuphonic digs into the meat of the song itself and really gets the bass going. His interpretation of this track is brilliant and he makes it pure sex.

Joel Compass' EP Astronaut is out September 2 on Black Butter Records.

JABBERWOCKY PHOTOMATON JEAN TONIQUE REMIX

                                          

     

A favorite of mine since his remix of The Kooks Naive, French producer Jean Tonique hits it out of the park with his remix of Jabberwocky's Photomaton. Super mellow with his signature guitar licks guiding it, this track is the perfect mix of mellow yet commanding. There is a slightly addictive quality to his mixes, which is what I really like about his particular style. He keeps the integrity of the track, yet manages to transform it into something magical. Judge for yourself below.

Girl I gotta grind. 

Chaz Bundwick aka Toro y Moi aka Les Sins (Bay Area represent!) continues to take over the world via dance jamz. His latest song "Grind" is prepped up and ready for summer and wants to get on down.  His new album is out March 18th digital and 12'' on Caribou's growing JIAOLONG label. I love Viceroy's remix of the Bixel Boys "Love Like This" and this one is equally (if not more) rad. And what a strong fist official release from LA - Houston's DJ duo Steffi Graf. Whereas Viceroy's version is more sunshine/summer, Steffi Graf created a late-night club banger to add to the bunch.

FRANK OCEAN PINK MATTER MANIK SKELETON REWORK

Not new by any means, but definitly worth noting. New York producer Manik's rework of Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter" is making the rounds. Nice and easy with a soulful, chill undertone added.
