ELEKFANTZ WISH

Mystery producer Elekfantz re-releases this track to celebrate the 100th birthday of Muddy Waters this year. Wish slowly eases into its groove, and the minute or so wait is more than worth it. It's a dance track, but you wouldn't be able to tell by the BPM. Elekfantz blends the sample so well into a slow disco jam that feels right on the verge of pushing further, but restrains itself. It's clean and chill as fuck so just enjoy the excellent mix.

NONONO PUMPIN BLOOD BELARBI REMIX

While most of the Easy Bay has been blessed with the proverbial "snow day" (bright side BART strikes!), why don't you settle back and groove to this irresistibly peppy summer song. This is Parisian ex-studio assistant Belarbi's first release and his french touch is a slick one. Remixing Nonono's Pumpin Blood, he sticks with the pop element and add his own tropical touch to it about a third of the way in. Let's see what we can do with little-to-no info about this artist. 

Here we go with some Cupcakes! House disco awesomeness out of LA, we have been going nuts over  the tracks Caesar Salad and Treasure Fingered all day. While they're listed as house, I'd say this falls way more into the disco genre. It's super dance worthy and the sampling is excellent with an unrelenting tempo that doesn't get annoying (always a plus). There are only three tracks listed so far, but show them some love and check out their page (link below). If these tracks are any indication of what is to come, we'll be eagerly awaiting the next release!

VICEROY & FRENCH HORN REBELLION FRIDAY NIGHTS

In what might be the best summer collaboration ever, Viceroy and the French Horn Rebellion (they did the killer Girls remix) pair up to release Friday Nights. There are hand claps everywhere too. It's an easy tune, heavy on the 80s synth bass that wants to just montage your life away. Just imagine your favorite summer movie from the 80s, this is that music. We've posted about San Francisco darling Viceroy before and our sentiments have not changed, he is summer incarnate.  Get yourself on his freaking SoundCloud and appreciate.

UK based Olly Jones aka. SKREAM funks his way into our hearts with this remix of Rudimenal's Hell Could Freeze. The funk he brings to the track compliment Angel Haze's vocals and really make up the quality of the track. It's very different from the original, but I did the late 90's vibe on it.

Here's UK producer Alex Metric's new track Scandalism off of his latest EP, Ammunition Pt. 3. Scandalism shows us a lesser known side of Metric, and wins as my favorite track of the bunch hands down. It's a disco flavored joyride and it totally rocks. Honorable mention goes out to Want Ya off of the same EP (link to stream the EP below)!

San Francisco duo WhiteNoize is comprised of DJ and Production duo Chris Harnett and David Carvalho and they have made my day with this one. This song just makes me smile. It's sunshine and awesomeness smashed together into a fast paced disco jam of a tune. Great vocals and a freaking homerun on the beachy disco sound that is dying to be played through a boombox. Hells yes SanFro.

SOLIDISCO NEVER LET YOU GO

Buffalo's own,  Solidisco deliver with their Clubhouse contribution 'Never Let You Go'. It's a solid mix of 70's vocals and French house with tons of energy. Don't be fooled by the minute long windup either, there is a disco-house explosion at the end of the tunnel that makes it worth the wait. If you are a fan of the genre, this one is sure to please.

COLECO THINGS AIN'T THE SAME

These tracks sound a bit like Cyril Hahn just with more disco dance inducing beats and some seriously sweaty base lines. There is def a little Le Youth thrown int there too. Both of these tracks will be gracing my summer tunes for sure. They're like the 90's met disco and had a tropical makeout sesh. Give "Things Ain't The Same" a minute to warm up and you won't be disappointed. "You're So Fine" is their more recent release and it's just absolutely bangin'. Love LOVE.

I highly recommend binging out on their SoundCloud page ("Push It" is pretty awesome). It's hot shit.

Happy Friday! Lets hope this track sets off the weekend right! To begin, can 90s club music officially make a come back and be a thing again? I want that. At least we have UK's Russ Chimes to get us through these dark times. I'm ranting now, sorry.

Turn Me Out does just that. It combines all of my sweet loves: 90's club beats and vocals, disco sprinkles here and there, tropical kettle drums, and DUH, the bass. Enjoy!

I promise it's not emo. 

OH EM GEE! This song blew my face off when I heard it today. The Shoes BRILLIANTLY and weirdly remix the parisian duo Little Freaky Things, (Nicolas Nekmouche aka Donovans & French singer/songwriter Maï-Lan Chapiron) "What A Bad Day". THEN I found their song Nightfall. It's like 90's trash-pop and 70's disco had a funky hot baby. They're perfect and sweaty and weird and I can't stop listening.

STEFFI GRAF BIXEL BOYS LOVE LIKE THIS

HELL YES SATURDAY NIGHT!

I love Viceroy's remix of the Bixel Boys "Love Like This" and this one is equally (if not more) rad. And what a strong fist official release from LA - Houston's DJ duo Steffi Graf. Whereas Viceroy's version is more sunshine/summer, Steffi Graf created a late-night club banger to add to the bunch.

Via their record label Guns In The Sun:
